Abstract
|
|
|
We studied on the keratinization of exfoliated cells from free gingival epithelium of Korean male in papanicolau stain.
The results obtained from two age group, viz, old age group, above the age of 50 and young age group, between the age of 20 to 30, are as follows.
1) In old age group, 23.65 per cent is stained in blue, 1, 53 per cent is stained in blue and red, 47.28 per cent is stained in red and 27.55 per cent is stained in yellow.
2) In old age group, karyopyki;osis shows in 6, 87 per cent, karyorrhexis shows in 13.10 per cent, and granule formation occures in 10.20 per cent.
3) In young age group, 40.77 per cent is stained in blue, 2.33 per cent is stained in red and blue, 40.33 per cent stained in red 10.57 per cent is stained in yellow.
